]]> Polymer modified bitumen (PMB) is one of the specially designed bitumen grades that is used in making pavement, roads for heavy duty traffic and home roofing solutions to withstand extreme weather conditions.

Polymer Bitumen is engineered for enhancing the performance of bitumen used in road, runway and racetrack applications both by improving life expectancy and reducing maintenance levels.

  1. Using PMB, you must consider 4 issues:
    Bitumen quality
  2. polymer compatibility (the most used polymer is SBS)
  3. mill performance
  4. good agitation of the final product

Polymer Modified Bitumen is recommended for very stressed pavements, high traffic volume, high loading, high temperature, draining pavements and need for durability.
